BBQ chicken must be one of the most popular meat in the history of food and barbecue in particular. Chicken is generally cheap, very nutritious, an excellent source of protein and easy to prepare if a barbecue smoker or even a conventional oven. Although there are many recipes for chicken BBQ and have fun with your friends and family at your next barbecue, some stand out quite as universally loved and applauded.
Normally, a good chicken recipe contains ingredients such as ketchup, mustard, garlic, cumin and many others. A popular recipe even calls for a can of beer. Several variations make use of Asian soy sauce, honey, housing sauce and ginger. Many recipes for sugar, cinnamon, and Worcestershire sauce.
As you can see the flexibility and the variation is very wide and usually comes down to personal preference. But some outstanding recipes. A recipe is in the show was Paula Deen "Paula Home Cooking. This is called" The Deen Brothers' BBQ Chicken ", which can be cooked in the oven or grill and includes the following ingredients:
• cup ketchup
• 1 / 4 cup brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons orange juice sauce
• 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 / 4 cup teaspoon liquid smoke
• 1 / 4 cup teaspoon liquid smoke 1 / 2 teaspoon dry mustard powder
• 1 / 4 teaspoon pepper cup cayenne
• 1 (3 1/2-pound) chicken, cut into 8 pieces
The preparation is simple. First, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F or prepare a grill with a brush with olive oil. Mix all ingredients in large bowl (except chicken) and put 1 / 3 cup barbecue sauce for later. Now add the chicken with remaining sauce in a bowl and make sure it is well covered. Place chicken on grill cover (cover) or in a roast pan and oven for 40-45 minutes or until sauce is cooked with reserved 1 / 3 cup to sprinkle the chicken after 20 minutes.
What I like about this recipe for barbecued chicken is that it is a complete system itself. The only difficulty for me was to determine what is "liquid smoke" is. But a quick search on Wikipedia explains what and how. Basically, it gives the sauce its flavor smoked smokeless BBQ chicken (which could be a long and complicated). You can choose not to use this option if you do not like the smell or taste.
A change that I'm actually doing this recipe is that I only use chicken thighs instead of whole chicken. I think chicken legs are particularly juicy, and ripen more quickly than the rest of the chicken, so you can get something to eat instead of waiting for a whole chicken to cook.
